Poster Presentation on SDG-2 and SDG-14

(March 5th, 2024) School of Zoology, in collaboration with CRIMA, and Seekers Science Society, organized a poster competition focused on SDGs 2 – Zero Hunger and 14 – Life below Water. The competition aimed to raise awareness and promote innovative solutions towards achieving these critical SDGs. 21 students from various science departments enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and commitment to addressing global challenges. The poster competition invited students to design interactive and informative posters highlighting the importance of SDG - 2 and SDG - 14 and proposing solutions to address related issues. Participants were encouraged to explore topics such as sustainable agriculture, marine conservation, food security, and responsible consumption and production. The posters were prominently displayed in the gallery of Jabir ibn Hayyan Block at Minhaj University Lahore. A panel of judges, consisting of faculty members and experts, evaluated the posters based on criteria such as creativity, relevance to the chosen SDG, clarity of message, and effectiveness in conveying solutions. The winners were awarded certificates.

The poster competition on SDG - 2 and SDG -14 provided an inspiring platform for students to creatively engage with and raise awareness about critical global challenges. Through their thoughtful designs and impactful messages, participants demonstrated their commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Minhaj University Lahore organized a tree plantation drive as part of its initiative to contribute to climate conservation. This activity aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage sustainable practices among students and staff. Participants came together to plant a variety of saplings on campus grounds, enhancing green spaces and promoting biodiversity. The plantation drive fostered a sense of environmental stewardship within the university community, inspiring ongoing efforts to protect the planet for future generations.
